A seeker does not walk the path alone. The murshid is the physician of the heart — guiding the soul through the stations of the nafs toward nearness to Allah.
Our guide on the path, who established the zawiya at Makindu as a house of dhikr, learning and mercy.
An unbroken chain of masters connecting the zawiya, heart to heart, all the way back to the Beloved Prophet ﷺ.
In the Naqshbandi way, guidance is passed from master to master in an unbroken silsila — the "Golden Chain." Each link received the light of the path from the one before, preserving it pure and alive across the centuries.
The chain begins with the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, passes through Sayyiduna Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (r.a.), the great imams and saints, down to Mawlana Shaykh Nazim al-Haqqani (q.s.) — whose blessed name this zawiya carries — and continues today through our Murshid.
Meet the masters

The 40th master of the Naqshbandi Golden Chain, whose name the zawiya carries.

The 39th of the chain and the shaykh of Mawlana Shaykh Nazim.

The 17th master, after whom the Naqshbandi way is named.

The first khalifa and the root of the Naqshbandi chain.

The source of all light and the head of the Golden Chain.
